Soil and Water Consult
Treat your turf to a soil analysis. Enjoy a thick, healthy lawn that crowds out unsightly weeds without the use of harmful synthetic herbicides!

Concerns are rising that those lush, weed-free lawns actually represent an extreme environmental hazard. A recent study by the National Wildlife Federation reported that more than 10 percent of drinking water wells contain detectable levels of traditional pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers. The EPA estimates 60-70 million birds are poisoned each year in the U.S. due to pesticide and fertilizer use and other animals that drink run-off water in street gutters are ingesting the pesticides and herbicides used to treat those lawns.

A Grand Junction homemaker recently told her husband she was dropping their traditional lawn-care service to go the natural organic route. "What made me switch was my kids and our dog," says the Colorado woman. "On the days when the chemical company came to spray the lawn, I just didn't have a good feeling about the little sign they put on lawn and door- telling us to stay off for two days." Instead, that spring she hired BioGreen as organic specialist who analyzed and then treated her lawn with a combination of our certified organic materials.

Studies confirm that DDT, a chemical banned over 30 years ago, still lingers in the interiors of homes, proving that chemicals don’t always break down over time. Chemicals added to your lawn may stay on your lawn, may be transferred to interior carpets via foot traffic, and may come in contact with your kids, your pets – anyone who spends time in your grass.

Soil / Turf Building Program
Seven soil-building treatments, covering your lawn, landscape, trees, shrubs & beds

Since our inception, we have developed and tested our 100% organic-based approach to treatment and care for our customers' lawns and landscapes. We call it our Soil / Turf Building Program, and it has quickly become the most popular service we offer.

In short, ours is a systematic, timed, and measured approach, employing a combination of treatments throughout the season. The steps we employ in the program ensure a green, healthy, and safe lawn. Best of all, the results of our Soil / Turf Building Program are achieved 100% organically. We're so confident in our that Soil / Turf Building Program we guarantee it will surpass even the best results acheived using synthetic chemicals.

Dry / Liquid Fertilization

Injection of 100% certified organic fertilizers, and our macro/ micronutrient soil amendments are used to stimulate root growth. Deep root injection is the most effective method to fertilize trees and shrubs. This process injects a water and organic mixture under high pressure 8 to 10 inches below the soil surface, right where the feeder roots are. The injections are placed in a grid pattern in and around the tree's drip line. There are many advantages to fertilizing this way. The high pressure injection forces the water fertilizer mix throughout the root zone, which not only feeds all the roots, but also reduces soil compaction and encourages additional root zone aeration. Depending upon your plant varieties, and their general state of health, this deep root injection fertilizer technique may be suggested at various times throughout the season, although spring and fall are generally the best times of the season.

Mycorizal Inoculation
We inoculate Mycorizal in and near the root zone. The beneficial mycorrhizal fungi in this natural setting will increase the resistance to plant stress and help improve nutrients and soil structure. Many conventionally treated properties lack mycorrhizal due to excessive and long-term uses of synthetic chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

BioGreen Organics makes all applications using our own mixture of 100% organic liquid materials and fertilizers. With the correct turf maintenance program this combination has proven to be the most effective.

Pest Prevention Program
BioGreen Organics uses our own Pest Prevention Program (PPP) as a proven method of pest control that emphasizes simple, inexpensive prevention practices that cause the least harm to people and the environment. PPP focuses on eliminating the cause of pests by minimizing access to food, water, and hiding places. BioGreen Organics uses 80 to 85 percent fewer inorganic pesticides than other mainstream synthetic companies in treating for harmful pests by using a Nematode Application for Grub Control (non-harmful chemicals). Beneficial Nematodes are microscopic organisms that feed upon the "bad guys" like grubs and ants. We also use a naturally occurring bacterium that attacks common lawn grubs and lasts 7 to 10 years!

Turf Aeration

The removal of small cores of soil from the lawn; it helps reduce compaction and improves the ability of the grass roots to expand into the soil.
